Line kiln

This was our ‘rest’ day - 11 miles walking along the canal and river Severn flood banks. Very flat. Staying in the town of Llanymynach we explored its industrial heritage where there is a vast limestone quarry and this fascinating Hoffman furnace - enormous and with an equally enormous chimney apparently the only one left standing in the country.
