The names for cars are getting increasingly ridiculous.  (This may have been going on for some time but it is 15 years since I bought a car...).

The Lemon may soon have to go to the great car park in the sky so I wandered around to the local garage to start the consideration of what on Earth we might replace it with.  In some ways we'd like to go electric but it makes no sense for that sort of outlay with our tiny mileage, and the source material environmental damage is a big question. 

I had assumed petrol would be the next choice but it seems that there's still a huge difference between petrol and diesel fuel consumption.

Also how much space do we need in a vehicle?  Often it's just us.  Often the load bay is packed full with assorted stuff.  I'd like a smaller car, but would that mean we end up with something that only does half of what we need?
