Fly In The Rain

Day 2 of the garden rebuild and still going backwards. The lawn has been dug up and is now a mountain of earth in the rain. But the birds love it.

The robins have been chasing around all day, fearlessly alongside the builders as they work.

This one has managed to capture a fly, the wings clearly protruding from his beak.

At one point, I watched him pull a worm from the earth. He took one large gulp and I could literally see the unfortunate creature glide down his throat as it disappeared into the depths of his stomach below.
