Clouds and the Pied Sandpiper
From blue to grey
The distillate colour
Replaced all shine and effervescence
The dull vanquished the bright
The clouds overshadowed the might
Of the mountains
But still the waves
Rolled relentless and the little sandpiper
Led me a merry dance
To capture
Its fleeting rest
On a day of quiet, still, reading, walking, eating
And exhaling at last.
