A few years ago we put up a bird box on the side of the house, this year for the first time it attracted residents. It would appear a pair of Blue Tits have successfully hatched a few eggs, how many we may never know but enough to keep both parents flying back and forward with tiny caterpillars to feed the hatchlings. According to the experts it takes 100 caterpillars per day to feed one chick and there could be up to six of them in there.
