A dull and dreary day...
...for travelling ..
Lots of spray on the roads North, and a short diversion to bag my blip.
This is the Old Low Light at North Shields, taken from the High Light, which is now a private residence.
These two were lighthouses from about 1727 to 1810, and we're the leading lights for ships to follow a safe route up the Tyne. The channel is now dredged and marked with red and green buoys.
Also in the frame, in the distance - the pier and Lighthouse at Tynemouth, and The Herd Groyne buoy which marks the left side of the channel.
Wallsend Gels outing this evening - hope the rain eases!
