It's all happening!
Yesterday, and again today, there's been much JCB activity next door. As far as we can tell, nobody's actually moved into the bungalow yet, but clearly work is happening in the front garden, which suggests the 'sold' sign speaks the truth. Of course, we can't have a nosy as we put up that fence.
The second half of my blip shows the delivery (flat pack!) of what will be our log-store at the side of our house - the accommodation of which was the main reason for the fence - to keep the area sheltered. (OK, and private!)
Looking out of the kitchen window to take the right-hand photo meant that I caught the first cuttings from our grown-from-seed sweet peas. To take the left-hand picture, I stepped out of the front door and braved the rain that's been falling heavily all morning (and during the night). Ugh! Shouldn't complain about rain, mind you: it's better than being without water to drink, isn't it?
And guess what: it's started brightening now. For how long, I wonder?
