A wet day
Not sure how much I should mention the rain in my journal tonight.
Woke up to it at 7am this morning. Still going 12 hours later. Only consolation is that we are not alone. Many of the news websites we follow show a very wet prime minister giving his snap election speech.
Today. Olivia came round for an hour and we had a very good session on work flow through camera raw into photoshop elements. Now to put it all into practice.
Callum spent far too long brushing/blading the water off the drive. He got soaked and it still seeped into the garage. The old mats and rugs we’d put on the floor had to be binned. The spare dining chairs were moved off the floor in the nick of time. A couple of cardboard boxes had to be chucked. Fortunately they were only in the recycling pile and had nothing in them.
Lou came round for a meet and greet with the two woofers. She’s a dog walker and we will use her if necessary when we both want to be out for more than a few hours. Maybe just for a let out, or maybe a walk, depends on the situation.
Emails and phone calls, needed to rearrange appointments for next week for Callum as he’s going to some training for three days in Stockton. Looking quite hopeful that he may have found himself a part time carer / companion type job.
Made some more arrangements for my visit back down south early July. Funnily enough, on son’s birthday 4th July. Will need a postal vote then!
Blip. One of the new solar lights dotted around the garden. Won’t be alight for long tonight then with the little charge it will have managed today.
