New Life Emerging

This photo was taken in my garden and is of a beautiful Monarch butterfly hatching from it's chrysalis.

Although it was taken in June, I decided to use it today as here in Canterbury New Zealand it is a beautiful sunny day in the middle of winter. I thought of new life and new beginnings as after a few weeks of gale force winds, torrential rain, floods and snow, we seem to be on an even keel again.

I also thought that the power of creation is so awesome that I wanted to share it with the world.
