Upholstery class this morning- carried on putting the green tweed top cloth on the back this time, and cut the velvet for the arms. It was raining when I left home, and worse when I came home - via the supermarket for batteries as the electrician was coming to look at the smoke alarms. He arrived as arranged and worked out how to change the battery. It involved disconnecting the unit from the base- and nowhere in the instructions did it say that! After he’d gone I decided to try and work out a way to make my two new ceramic sculptures cat-proof, so went out to buy a few things in the pouring rain. I was completely unsuccessful ( with the cat proofing not the shopping), so need to think again! By the time I’d finished it was time to get changed and go round to NH’s. The rain had just about stopped but I was running a bit late so drove to her and we walked down to the fish and chip shop for supper- delicious! Caught the bus into town to go to the Playhouse to watch Punch- it was brilliant and they got a standing ovation. Got an uber back to Lady Bay
