Welcome back

We haven't seen pelicans on Seven Mile Beach for some months, and it was nice to welcome a pair who dropped in this afternoon. They are very mobile birds, travelling long distances at high altitudes, following water and food. Much of inland Australia has been very wet recently and usually dry lake beds have filled with water. I suspect that many pelicans have flown inland to enjoy the good conditions. It's nice to see some back again.
