Face features
This is the cover picture on Mika Waltari's famous novel Sinuhe, the Egyptian that came out in 1945.
Without knowing much of the characteristic classic features of Egyptians, I have just trusting my own eyes disliked the face on the cover as atypical. Today, having watched pictures of ancient sculptures and golden masks on the sarcophagi I feel that I have had the correct view. The artist has not captured the typical characteristic features of the face whereas the old paintings look just like the people I can see interviewed today.
Extra. An old painting that to me looked just like the person that was interviewed. For copyright reasons I cannot publish here.
