Rusty Machinery
Another visit to a garden centre this morning - the same one that gave me the ‘Iron Horse’ blip last Saturday. They do have a load of old machinery dotted around the site - and today I spotted this wonderful rusty relic.
The name ‘E H Bentall & Co’ embossed on the front was useful as it came up in Google with lots of examples of agricultural equipment…and identified this as a mill/grinder. The wheel on the right would have had a belt turning it. Corn/seed would have been poured into the hopper at the top, which would then be delivered by a chute (which appears to have fallen down on this one) into the grinding wheel on the left…and then out into a collection bag/box.
