Breisach

Our first full day on the long boat took us down the Rhine to the charming little German town, Breisach. We had plans to take a bus to Colmar from here, but there were problems going through four locks and we arrived five hours later than the ship had scheduled. We had already been to Colmar years ago so we opted to just walk into Breisach and explore the cathedral pictured, as well as the fortress where I took this shot. Rain was forecast but we had a dry day!
