Power

Being the greenkeeper brings with it power. We have had over 35mm of rain since 9am yesterday and county and West Tyne league matches were scheduled to be played on the green tonight. I've had several messages asking whether I will allow play to take place. I was down in the town (12 miles away from home) so I popped in to take a look. There had just been a heavy shower but there were no puddles on the green but it was very wet. So I decided to postpone the matches, and no cutting tomorrow. They may thank me for it later in the year when the green is in reasonable condition.
