Goodbye Subie 1

Have to say goodbye to our first Subaru, bought in 1996. No, we didn't have it that long. In 1999 we sold it to my in-laws because they needed a car and liked ours. Both at 80+ years old, we knew they wouldn't wear it out. We bought a 2000 Outback to replace it and the truth is, it wasn't as good.
Later we lost both of my in-laws and sold the car to our friends, Mickey and Mike in 2001. 12 years later, today, they traded Subie 1 in for a new truck to tow their trailer.
The car had 156000 miles and was still running strong. New head gasket, catalytic converter, brakes and tires were all she needed those years.

It's leaving our life today. Hope it has a second chance to make someone happy.
