Somewhere on A74(M)

Pretty atrocious weather for our journey from Kinloss in Moray to Scotch Corner as you can see. Safely completed the drive to the accompaniment of two albums by Fairport Convention, one each by the Beatles, John Tams, U2 and Journey.

Surprised and delighted to upon check in that we had been chosen as guests of the day which entitled us to two free drinks at the bar. The G&T and Neck Oil were very much enjoyed.

We’d booked dinner bed and breakfast, a good move. Dinner was very good and very welcome, helped down by a glass of red.

Feeling full but relaxed. Some 270 miles to do tomorrow
