Italian Garden Tatton Park.
We were booked on the Social Club visit to Tatton Park. The weather didn't look promising. Overnight there had been torrential rain. Our rout to the centre of the village was blocked by a flood. We detoured by a footbridge and the castle grounds. There was evidence on the bridge that overnight the water had been over the bridge. As far as we know this is a first in the 47 years we have been in the village.
As we travelled soth the weather improved a bit. During the rest of the day there wasn't anything more than a light "mizzle". We went at the right time of year with the masses of Rhododendrons in full flower. The Japanese garden only being open on Wednesdays and Saturdays was a bit of a downer. After the gardens we went into the house. A very fascinating visit.
