A Productive Day in Largs

A busy and productive day, when we started to look at possible long term residential care solutions for my mother-in-law, Jean. We hope this would give her more social interactions and reduce her risk of further falls.

We met at Alastair’s, (Bb’s brother’s) house in the afternoon so that the three siblings could talk about the places we’d seen. This was the first time they’d been together since 2015 for Jean’s 90th birthday. Although Alastair does a lot of the routine tasky things for Jean at the moment, it’s becoming more difficult because he himself lives with chronic pain.

The time flew by and before we knew it, it seemed late to return to Largs and for Alexis then to cook the pasta dish she’d offered to make. A quick decision was made to get fish and chips from the award-winning Fishworks, down the front of Largs, and eat them at home. Good decision!

For our own records, Bb and I managed to squeeze in a couple of hours of work in the afternoon in the breakfast room of the bed and breakfast.
