How To Make A Fictional Monster Disappear
Today's image is yet another emergency blip as I seem to have misplaced by blip mojo once more.
Godzilla is a fictional prehistoric reptilian monster, awakened and empowered after many years by nuclear radiation that debuted in the eponymous 1954 film. The character has since become an international pop culture icon, appearing in various media - 33 Japanese films, 5 American films, numerous video games, novels, comic books, TV shows and quite possibly on the lid of my old lunchbox which I have captured here - although after years of wear and tear its depiction is well on the way to disappearing so I can't authoritatively confirm it is Godzilla but it makes for a better story for blip! :-)
It also brings back memories for me as it was the lunchbox which I used to take to work with me on a Friday within which was ensconced my 'famous' sausage roll salad - my colleagues always asked every Friday if I had my sausage roll salad with me as they seemed to find it highly amusing!
At the time I worked in a converted stables in the grounds of a manor house, which was a rather odd premises for an insurance company, and weather permitting I would find a lovely quiet spot in the walled garden and consume my sausage and pastry based repast with a cheeky tot of wine as a little celebration that I only had the afternoon to get through before it was the weekend!
