Broken and incomplete.

The ring is clearly broken and the cuff link is missing its partner. I've checked the dates on these and they are both from about 1850. They are no use to me and are just in a drawer. I've weighed them in and I got 200 pounds for them. I took them to more than one shop that buys gold. The prices are very different in each place. I was offered 100 pounds in one place. 
If you intend to sell your scrap gold, my advice would be to take it to different places and not to accept the first offer. Apparently the high street is better than sending it off through the post, according to the experts.
