Bee Happy

Back in Drymen today to have lunch with friend Alison in The Clachan.

Much of the chat was about the disappointing news that Drymen Library is to close at the end of June - a joint decision between Stirling Council (making cuts wherever possible) and The Winnock Hotel, which owns the building that houses the library. Alison was the first Librarian when the library opened nearly 50 years ago, gifted to the village by Sir Hugh Fraser, so she is particularly saddened by the news. Even more so, of course, is pal Christina, the current Library Officer!

I had some time to kill before my appointment at the hairdresser's, so I had a wander up the old Gartmore road in search of a blip, and spotted this crocheted decoration on the pillar-box en route. It was more colourful than the drab view of the hills on this dull day.

"Bee Happy" this weekend, blipmates!
