Diary of an Edinburgher

By LadyMarchmont

This way, Mum!

Dry this morning!! Archie and I took a walk over the Meadows. This is him, refusing to go the way I wanted - he wants to go along that path. And what’s that in the distance? It’s the liver muffin caravan!

We did quite a big stroll around, but didn’t go to the cafe. For a change, we went to the pub. The Cloisters is an old man’s pub (I mean that in a nice way). No muzak, plain crisps, old church pew seats. My bus stop was just at the door, but I decided to keep walking home. (5,656 steps)

Our pals in South Africa are having such a wonderful time. They’ve been swimming with seals, walking with elephants, talking to monkeys, and watching meerkats come out in the morning sun. Though they missed out on the ostriches. Safari next…

PS Archie’s little wound that has been refusing to heal, causing him to have to wear a cone for months, now seems to have cleared up! Yay!!
