Torrential

It was lightly raining through the morning but by late afternoon there was blue sky appearing.  The lull was then interrupted by about ten minutes of utter downpour.  The sudden and mighty torrent off the roof cascaded over the gutter, which I captured in high speed for fun.  I like how the big droplet just below the gutter is still attached to smaller ones.

But blue skies prevailed, more or less, so after tea I nipped out to the supermarket for some last minute bits and pieces before bestie arrives tomorrow.

Mum and Dad came for lunch and we shared stories of floods and holidays.
