Waiting for whimbrels

A bunch of us crazy birders stood around chatting in between careening flocks of whimbrels - curlew like shorebirds migrating to the arctic from South America! Amazing sight and sounds! So much fun chatting with old friends and new…but exhaustion has set in :)
