Saddleworth Brass Band competition

The joy that is the Saddleworth Brass band competition took place today. 11 villages were the venues for a stream of brass and silver bands who marched through the streets to the cheers of hundreds of spectators. Main is an Army brass band from Catterick, and extras are some of the smart local marching bands and the not so smart University bands, but all equally entertaining in their own way. One of my favourite days out of the year.
