Daylily

These dramatic flowers grow just near our pond. The only open when the sun shines and sensibly close up at night. I always think they look faintly unreal but I do love them.

It's been/going to be a busy weekend with family from Australia arrived early this morning. They were amazed and delighted at the weather: it's been a joy to actually be able to sit out in the garden and until late evening.

Managed to watch the ladies final and happy with the result: I think Lisicki will have her chance again as she's so young. A trip to Aldeburgh today will be lovely but means I won't be able to watch that final!!
