Pargeting

Particular to the counties of Essex and Suffolk, Pargeting is the ancient craft of applying pattern to the plastering on the outside of buildings.

Today I went to Writtle, on the edge of Chelmsford, what a delightful village centre with pond on the green and a wonderful array of cottages and houses huddled round it.
