Graduation excitement

Wow, it is soooo long since I blipped...

It was graduation day today at the University of Reading, and it was also my last day there (new job coming up!), so I trolled off down to watch the students from my department swelter in their gowns to get a handshake from the Vice Chancellor whilst trying very hard to hold onto their mortar boards and not fall up or down the steps (or fall asleep in his "short" speech). They all managed, I am glad to say. The young lady on the right of this shot has been my student helper this year, and the expression on her face just about sums her up - she is slightly manic at times but great fun to work with and I hope she finds the job of her dreams now.
