Day trip to Italy
Today we decided to hop onto a train through the Simplon tunnel and visit Italy. The first stop after the tunnel was the town of Domodossola and we had read that Saturday was market day, so a good day to visit. A fine old town and the market was huge; mainly clothes, bags and leather goods but with a few food stalls, and covering most of the streets in the centre of town. Having had a large breakfast we didn't need lunch but stopped at a small cafe for an ice cream for W and a crêpe for me, eased down with a nice glass of Prosecco. My shot is taken in the town in one of the few squares that were not being used for the market.
I've added extras. Firstly, a rather satisfied pigeon amongst the wild flowers. Secondly, Big David. Finally, no-one loves a politician but this one seemed to have found a devoted fan.
