Towards Syros

Another free day today which I used to independently explore one of the local Andros Routes, route 15. It is reasonably well way-marked, although in a few places the track tends to be over very rough terrain just to avoid a quiet road. With a combination of way markers and a downloaded GPX file I successfully walked off road from the hotel to Gavrio Port, deliberately missing out the loop to Agios Petros where we will walk as a guided group later next week.

After a wonderful day yesterday, but one that was socially overloaded I needed some solitary time which was completely restorative. Several swimming stops, an amazing coffee and pastries in Gavrio, and all the time I needed to look at the wild flowers, extra.
