A New Arrival

When I returned home yesterday my wife showed me anew flower in one of our borders wondering whether it was a weeder not. My plant knowledge is pretty limited so my immediate reaction was to take a picture often my iPhone and then use thePlantNet app to identify it. Whilst it is a wild flower some gardeners are quite happy to incorporate it into their flower borders.  Its latin tag is Aquilegia vulgars anti is part of the ranunculaceae family which includes buttercups. It's common name is Columbine
