Snoopy and Woodstock...
...go to the nursery. King's Nursery is known for its flowers and Snoopy and Woodstock are suitably dressed residents.
Dana and Jim are at Bottlerock, a three day music, food and wine festival in Napa so Blake has been hanging out with us today. We are hosting the 'Friday Coffee Gang' for a sort of pot luck dinner that has evolved over the course of semi-regular evening get togethers. We have hit upon the idea of substantial hors d'oeuvres and I decided that that could also be a good excuse for 'sinful pleasures' and am making Buffalo Chicken Wings.
I have been stepping over Blake sprawled strategically across our narrow galley kitchen floor space. I think he is just waiting for dropped morsels, but he is a large dog in a small space.
I think we'll take him home before the guests arrive with their food which will be in peril on the kitchen serving counter if he stays here.
I achieved a milestone of sorts on the Peloton today as I was able to clip in and out of the pedals thanks to Tim's help yesterday in loosening them. It is considerably easier than getting feet into shoes permanently affixed to the pedals as I was doing. I also reached an average cadence of 80, a high point for me although it is often the starting point for a lot of rides.
Other than a cursory tidy up that has been about it for today. I was hoping we would be able to start our evening outside, but although the sun has finally struggled out of the clouds, the wicked little cold wind that has been coming up every afternoon makes it highly unlikely that we will be spending a lot of time outside this evening.
