The Fire Chief's Birthday

We were invited to a gathering to celebrate Jamie the Fire Chief's 50th birthday. It was held in the meeting room in the Fire Hall. One of the firefighters came in playing Happy Birthday on the saxophone, and very good he was! We sang Happy Birthday too. A fun gathering of family, friends and co-workers to celebrate the birthday of a really great guy! We've known Jamie and Jen for years. G helped build their house but knew Jamie before that. He and G get on great, and Jamie's son Ewen fits right in with them. Ewen graduates from high school soon. He's already a fully-qualified fire fighter at 17! Jamie and Jen also have a daughter who'll be going to high school in the fall. It was really lovely to have time with the family.
