Trafalgar
What a beautiful day today was! Here is a rare photo of almost all of our group (minus Steph who is off having an amazing time in Africa) in Trafalgar, where Amita is living this year.
Five of us - Jess, Rachel, Julia, Phoebe and I - drove down to Trafalgar this morning to spend the day with Amita. We've never really done the road trip thing, so it was fun having all of us in the same car - we played I Spy and 20 Questions and listened to music and managed not get lost, so it was pretty successful!
Amita showed us round her awesome house when we got there, and then we went for a walk to see some cows before lunch. We headed to the local pub to eat, and went up to a winery to be classy ladies who taste wine. Actually, just me and Phoebe tried the wine, and I bought a bottle for Dad and I to share once he's done with Dry July.
At the winery we encountered three of the most hilarious alpacas I've ever seen - in fact, they almost made it onto my blip for today, but I decided the girls should feature instead. I took so many photos of the alpacas, all of whom had hilarious expressions on their faces and who seemed really suspicious of us. They had super knobbly knees which knocked together when they ran. Adorable!
All in all, today was rather perfect, especially as it's my 99th blip - the big 100 is tomorrow and I'm secretly kind of excited!
This photo is actually taken outside of the primary school our friend Nina went to when she was little - she lived in the area, and coincidentally Amita's house is just around the corner. Small world! Anyway, it took several goes to get this one but it was worth the effort - I love the photo, and I love the ladies in it!
