The Princess and the Dog

Wildest Dreams

Dear O'H dear & Lovely Tea Jenny,

The day to see Taylor had arrived!

We made our way to the stadium and didn’t have too much hanging around as Paramore came on stage about 45 minutes later. To be honest, I only know a couple of their songs but that’s going to change as they’re brilliant. Hayley Williams has pipes and when she introduced the band, she said they’d been together since they were 11, 12 & 13!

And then a huge clock showed on the big screen which counted down until Taylor came on and the atmosphere became electric with excitement.

And for the next 3 hours and 20 minutes we were blown away. She performed 44 songs* from her Lover, Fearless, Red, Speak Now, Reputation, Folklore, Evermore, 1989, The Tortured Poets Department & Midnights eras with 2 surprise songs**.

And what a performance. It really isn’t hype, it was genuinely amazing. Her, the backing singers, the dancers, the outfits, the sets, the wrist bands with the twinkling lights. The whole thing. I had wondered when I booked it if we were crazy for flying to a different country to see a concert but it exceeded all my expectations. I know I won’t see anything like that again and The MP’s will remember it all too well.

And I got to share it with my favourite people. Which is what I’ll remember most.

C
