It was wet …

Chris’s daughter ran the Edinburgh Half Marathon this morning - an early start at 8am and it rained the whole way. We drove round to try and spot her at various points, but the traffic was horrendous and we managed to miss her on the run. This was my view of the Meadows as we passed around 9am. 

We finally caught up with her after she had finished, in Musselburgh High Street which at least saved her having to get the bus back.  

Extra shows some of the wet and weary runners nearing the end.

The rain slackened a bit after that for a time, so maybe it wasn’t ‘quite’ so bad for the full marathon which started later.
