The Bowly Pump

Carrying on with recording interesting buildings and structures around town, this is just along the road from us and I thought it was about time it was blipped.

From what I can gather, the pump was installed as a gift to the almshouses behind and to the local neighbourhood by Thomas Brewin.

The almshouses were built at the behest of Christopher Bowly .
