Finished

Today Kid A ran his first marathon. It was raining hard all morning and chilly too. Then the sun came out for about 20 minutes before the rain came back with a vengeance. Utterly miserable weather.

His hips started hurting about half way, and it was a lot, lot tougher than he had expected.
But he made it. Blisters the size of fried eggs on both feet, and very, very tired. But he finished. A mixture of pride and relief.
