Would you have a tattoo?

Today I met a Welsh man, Rhys from Pembroke in West Wales, recently moved to Scotland with his family.
Well, I couldn’t help but notice, and admire , the tattoos on both his arms.
They were highly artistic, reflecting his interest in mythology.
“I saved up for over two years,” he says.
How much did they cost you?
“Over £2,000.”
Gulp.    
Yes I know its all about body art and they are a universal way of expressing yourself going back over 5,000 years BC.  So, Rhys has history on his side.
But I hesitate about having one. I have yet to have my ears pierced.
