The road is open!

They always try to get the road over the Snowies open by Memorial Day weekend. They made it this year. The snow isn't as high as in previous years. There was some strong wind blowing way up high blowing snow off the top of the mountains.
We had gone to a memorial service for someone who had worked at the ski area so when we were finished we drove up for a look.
The extra is my friend standing by one of the snow cuts by the highway up there. Also the "smaller" snow grinder that was sitting at a pull off.
