Bank Holiday Monday
Very heavy rain first thing, temperature around 11°C but clouds soon blew over and we had a pleasant afternoon.
MrD and I went for groceries to Lidl. He then had lunch and went for a walk down to the beach and “all the way round”.
I transplanted some Coriander seedlings and some mixed wild flowers from the Cottage Garden seed swap, I also planted up a tub of shallots for my brother in law who’d mentioned he’d fancied some.
Potatoes in tubs have made good leaf growth so I’ve “earthed them up” with fresh homemade compost from one of my compost bins, then a layer of grass mowings on the top.
Cooked up some pizza topping to go on gluten free pizzas baked in the Actifry.
Whilst MrD was on his walk I took photos of the Elderflower, noticed all the wild flowers growing down our road, then had a coffee whilst I consulted my very large wildflower book:
Purple toadflax and Black Medick, Red Campion (Silene dioica),
Herb Robert (Geranium robertianum)
and Elderflower
