Surprise, surprise

I was out in the garden trying to see the baby Coal tits as I could hear them in the trees. One flew over and landed on the roof and then disappeared round the side of the house. I crept round and spotted a bird on the fence and could not believe my eyes when it was a nuthatch ! I’ve NEVER seen one here so it was a big tick for me. It flew up into the tree and I managed to get a few shots, no very good sorry but it’s just for my records.
I think we were lucky with the weather again just a few very short spells of heavy rain during the day with a bit more in the evening. David said there were torrential downpours in Dingwall.
Started watching the Spider-Man film on BBC1 but I gave up and went to bed at 9
