From on High

We've been in a lot of high places today. In Yorkshire you seem to be always in a valley or on top of a hill.

This photograph was taken from a part of the Pennine Way we walked along today. This point looks out over towns of the industrial North where I was born and brought up. You can see Rochdale and Oldham and in the far distance Manchester. It was a bit like being on top of the world looking down on my childhood.
