Rydal, St Mary's
Arrived at Rydal Water early for a swim and wandered round the estate looking for Blips. I found an underwhelming woodland sculpture trail and some nice waterfalls . Unfortunately the Grot, which is famous for its picture window onto a waterfall was locked, as was the Hydro Electric engine room despite the invitation to take a look.
This is the small chapel of St Mary's built in 1824 on a site that William Wordsworth helped choose and was church warden for a couple of years.
Rydal Water was perfect for a late afternoon swim - extra just to prove it
