Summer's weed

The tide was out, the rain was scheduled and already falling but I ventured out in the quiet of the early morning for a glimpse of the shoreline along the coastal path, just for half an hour. The warmer weather seems to have brought on the bright lime greenness of fresh seaweed lying in thick layers and ripples as the tidal waters recede. It has its own artistry.

We've been indoors otherwise as it's been really dull and wet. I've done our Arctic laundry which is drying all over the house :-)
