Rewilding Begins - (Probably Unintentional) ...
Having experienced the Gardens at Knepp - not to mention the wider Knepp landscape - I find myself getting excited at any signs of nature increasing its share of my visual field.
So it was here beside the Storage Pond at Sheffield Park Garden earlier this afternoon. The path seems to be gradually lapsing 'back into nature', almost certainly because the path beside the Pond is currently a dead-end, the steps at the far end being currently out of action.
One fears that everything will 'revert' to a state of Garden Neatness once the steps reopen and footfall increases, but meanwhile I can enjoy the moist, somewhat languid, early summer scene I captured here.
