Last train

At the ferry terminal waiting for the train back to Cambridge. Guarantee it will be slower than yesterday’s!
Got a bus in Cambridge within 5 minutes of arriving at the bus stop and got to Haverhill with time enough for bacon rolls and coffee in Greggs before catching the bus back to the village.
Home by 12 noon feeling pretty knackered.
9 trains, 5 buses, 1 ferry, 1 tram, 6 countries. Over 80 km of scheduled walking plus ‘sightseeing’ and at least 4000m of cumulative ascent.
This greener travel is hard work, six days full on rail and bus journeys.
I think we may have a bit of a rest now…..
