The season of roses

The roses aren't doing quite as well this year, they came into leaf very early and then got blackspot so many of the leaves dropped off.   The new shoots are much healthier.

T brought the lawn mower back - they had borrowed it - and I was able do some mowing.  The grass is growing so fast in this weather and it needs doing once a week.  Managed to remove more ivy off the house - it's beginning to look as if someone lives here now!

The family are off to Sussex to stay with friends on their farm for a few days as it is half-term.
