Sighisoara

Today we set out by coach in the early morning rain to visit the ancient town of Sighisoara. About 1.30 hours from Brasov, the journey goes through amazing open countryside.  Green hills and vales, farm animals grazing...and the sun came out.  We spent all of the time in the town's central  citadel.  Multicoloured houses and beautiful castles and churches link up the town walls.. It is a popular tourist destination for its well-preserved old town which is listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site..Pity we weren't there longer.
